“best practice” criteria are more formal and include such things as ensuring your emails:
- Have a subject line that reflect the contents
- Come from a recognizable sender
- Contain clear contact information
- Contain easy instructions on how to get off the address list
These requirements are often reflected in the anti-spam laws email marketers are obliged to follow.
